Classroom Policies and Procedures
Homework:
When homework is assigned, it is meaningful work. I do not believe in assigning “busy work”. Each student is expected to come to class each day with homework completed and ready to turn in. Please do not come to class asking to get your assignment from your locker, printer, etc. It will be counted as “late”. We are striving to be productive, professional, and educated; part of that means coming to class on time and prepared. This will help us have a more meaningful class with students who are prepared and complete homework to the best of their ability.
Grading:
Any grades distributed are earned. The grade you earn will be calculated using a total points system. Therefore, nothing is weighted. This is so you can calculate your grade at any given point. Please continue to check your grades online. If there are any questions, please feel free to ask.
Absent:
A student who is absent is expected to ask another classmate what was missed during the absence. You will also find all work on the “calendar link” above. If you are unable to turn work in, take a test or quiz due to an absence, I will expect it the day you return. It will be counted as “late” otherwise. For students who are absent during a test or quiz, I will expect you to make it up upon your return to school.
